Works with Amazon Sidewalk qualification

Amazon requires every Endpoint product that connects to Amazon Sidewalk to comply with the Works with Amazon Sidewalk Qualification Guidelines.

To get the Works with Amazon Sidewalk badge, the design of the product must pass Works with Amazon Sidewalk qualification. Test evidence and the qualification fee are submitted to Amazon.

For the first year of operation Amazon is waiving qualification fees, although where testing is conducted by an external test facility that facility may charge a fee for test services.

If the test evidence passes Works with Amazon Sidewalk qualification requirements, the product design is granted the Works with Amazon Sidewalk badge.

In case of issues with qualification testing or with the qualification process that may impact the evaluation of an end product’s qualification, Amazon may grant qualification waivers for tests that are affected by the issues in accordance with its qualification waiver policy.

The purpose of Works with Amazon Sidewalk qualification is to test that a certain device or component reference design complies with the Amazon Sidewalk network requirements. Works with Amazon Sidewalk qualification only tests the Amazon Sidewalk functionality of reference designs. Qualified end products then must be built using the same Amazon Sidewalk functionality as the qualified reference design.

Important Please note that you are still responsible for ongoing compliance with the Qualification Guidelines and any other applicable Amazon terms after receiving qualification.

The following shows some qualification concepts and the Works with Amazon Sidewalk qualification process.
