6 Confirming the region in use

Confirm, during bring-up in each target market, that each device operates on that market’s sub-GHz parameters:

End device. The device reports its region in its device-information response. Read it back after setup to confirm the value was stored, then confirm after the next platform initialisation that the radio operates on the same region’s band (§4.2). A registered device with no stored region reports North America (§4.3).
Gateway. There is nothing to confirm on the gateway itself; it establishes its region automatically (§3). Confirm only that your target market is a supported country (§2.2).

A provisioning request for an unsupported region fails with a not-supported error rather than taking effect (§4.4).
